Welcome to the Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association

The Pennsylvania Rural Electric Association (PREA) serves as the unified voice for electric cooperatives in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. 

Together, 13 cooperatives in Pennsylvania and one in New Jersey represent more than 600,000 consumers in over 230,000 rural households, businesses and industries. These not-for-profit, consumer-owned utilities provide affordable and reliable electric service to more than 225,000 meters of rural America.
